Grace Oakes is an artist and designer based in the Lake District, UK. Drawing on her experience as a commercial graphic designer, she creates original artworks that draw on a range of influences, from Japanese illustration and vintage posters, to Mid-Century Modern design.

“I’m inspired by the golden era of graphic design in the 1950s and 1960s.” 

She creates designs by hand, before using a combination of digital techniques and lithographic printing to achieve bold, vibrant colours for fine art prints, fabrics, ceramics and products.
